The Weekend…

Whew, what a weekend.  It was beyond nice. ( seriously, be jealous)  63 degrees and sunny.  I spent almost the whole weekend on the back deck.

Went out with some great people on friday for a birthday, ate some great mexican ( fajitas), made breakfast ( biscuits with honey butter) took riley on a walk, made pizza (on an asiago cheese baguette), and bought girl scout cookies ( 3 boxes!)

Awesomeness.  So nice for the middle of February, right?

Thanks for the nice comments here and on flickr lately. They mean a lot.

    • I used jared sauce on a fresh baguette ( you could use any baguette, i chose asiago) I toasted the bread a bit first under the broiler with some olive oil to crisp it up a bit. I put the pepperoni and some red pepper flakes on the sauce. Then I topped it with fresh mozzarella slices and sprinkle with basil ( I only had dried basil, but fresh would be awesome.) Placed it in the oven for about 10 minutes at 350, then put it under the broiler for a couple minutes to get the cheese bubbly. Nothing to fancy, but good. Its a quick fix. Thank you.
